Susan was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She attended Union University and graduated in 2000 from Covenant Theological Seminary where she met her husband, Keith, of nearly 25 years. In 2002 they received a call to Fishers, Indiana where Keith served as youth and assistant pastor for 14 years. In 2016 they were sent out to plant Living Branch Church in the neighboring community of Noblesville.

After suffering the pain of several miscarriages, the Lord gave Keith and Susan three children. They are now in the life-giving season of raising teenagers. The Doane family enjoys traveling the country, being outdoors, playing sports, and watching baseball.

Susan comes alongside other women to encourage and equip them to remain steadfast and faithful to their calling in life and ministry. She enjoys conversation over coffee or a glass of sweet iced tea.
