Admissions Requirements
Since the vision of ITS is to partner with local churches, we desire students to be involved in a church community in central Indiana. In order to apply to ITS, a prospective student must have an Indiana address. If a prospective student intends to relocate, please indicate your plans on your ITS application.
ITS does not grant student visas or I-20s.
Degree-seeking applicants must have an undergraduate degree with at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA. Applicants with a GPA lower than 2.5 will be considered at the discretion of the Academic Dean and will begin ITS on academic probation. If a student is accepted to ITS on academic probation, their first semester GPA at ITS must be above 2.5 in order to continue.
Students who do not have an undergraduate degree but have at least 90 undergraduate credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 may apply for “conditional acceptance” to take ITS courses for credit.
If a student doesn’t have an undergraduate degree, nor one in process, he/she may enroll in the GCCS Certificate program. If a student completes the GCCS certificate with a 2.5 GPA or better, they may then enroll in the MATS, MABM, or MDiv program. Transfer credits are not eligible towards the ITS GCCS.
Students also need a recommendation from their current or recent pastor. If the applicant is a pastor of a church, they will need a Church Reference Form from another local pastor or a recent former pastor. All students are required to affirm the Nicene Creed.
