Dr. Wellum is professor of Christian Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and editor of the Southern Baptist Journal of Theology. He has more than twenty years of teaching and pastoral service, and has written numerous articles and book chapters. He also authored (with Peter Gentry) Kingdom through Covenant and the forthcoming book, God the Son Incarnate.

Dr. Wellum is married to Karen and has five children.
