Dr. Williams has a passion for making Jesus known in and through the local church and is an ordained Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). He grew up in a small Midwest industrial town and attended Western Illinois University where he developed a love for Christ and the church through faithful mentoring of Christ-centered pastors. After attending Covenant Theological Seminary (M.Div, 1998), he became Assistant Pastor at Christ Community Church in Carmel, IN. He then planted, and now serves as Senior Pastor, of New City Church on the east side of Indianapolis.

Roger has been married to his wife, Carmen, for nearly three decades, and they have five children. Together they love to mentor younger couples, spend time with their family, and explore fine dining establishments. Roger has been involved in numerous church planter coaching initiatives and has served on the board of several ministries, most recently Indianapolis Theological Seminary.
