Robert Lyon is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Systematic Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS), where he also earned a Master of Divinity.

He holds undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Indiana University and has more than a decade of experience in engineering and project management within the manufacturing industry.

His academic interests include the doctrine of God, Christology, theological method, apologetics, and the relationship between theology and philosophy. His work has appeared in The Southern Baptist Journal of Theology, Christ Over All, and Eikon Journal. 

Robert and his wife, Lindsay, have three children and are active members of Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church in Louisville.
