Dr. Robert Lyon is a theologian specializing in systematic theology. He earned his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) in Louisville, Kentucky, where he also completed a Master of Divinity.

Before entering full-time theological study and teaching, Dr. Lyon worked for roughly a decade as an engineer in the manufacturing industry, bringing a technical and analytical background to his theological work.

He also holds undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Indiana University.

Dr. Lyon writes and teaches in areas such as the doctrine of God, systematic theology, and classical Christian theology, and his work has appeared in theological publications such as Christ Over All.

He is married with three children and is active at Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church in Louisville.
