Dr. Gregory was raised the youngest child in a family of fourteen children to Roman Catholic parents. Dr. Gregory has an eclectic background. Born to a coal mining father and a stay-at-home mother, Jym went on to receive M.S. and M.Div. degrees and served in law enforcement in Dallas, Texas, higher education (Eastern Illinois University and The University of Florida) and missions (Costa Rica and Spain). Previously, he served local churches in Illinois, Florida and Indiana and has taught and preached in Costa Rica, Spain, England and the Middle East.

More recently, Jym has served LifePoint Church as lead pastor for the past ten years and Indianapolis Theological Seminary as a board member. He has been married for over 30 years to Dedra, has two daughters, a son-in-law and two grandchildren. He enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and anything remotely related to his grandchildren.
